COACHING 101 - Over View

Why does coaching work?

Coaching works because of three unique features:
Synergy. Client and coach become a team, focusing on the client's goals and needs and accomplishing more than the client would alone.
Structure. With a coach, a client takes more actions, thinks bigger and gets the job done, thanks to the accountability the coach provides.
Expertise. The coach knows how to help clients make and keep more money, make better decisions, set the best goals, and restructure their professional and personal lives for maximum productivity.

How does a coach do this?

Coaching is delivered during regular, weekly sessions by telephone, by e-mail (cyber-coaching). Clients bring agenda items to the call. The coach helps them solve problems and make the most of opportunities. When clients are missing a key principle or distinction, it is clarified for them so they can see more clearly. When they are taking on a large goal, we help them design the project and provide support and structure needed to make sure it gets done. Coaches brig out the client's best by offering advice, expecting a lot, helping them strategize and celebrating wins.

What role does the client have in this partnership?

A commitment to the partnership.
A willingness to be coached.
A readiness to be coached. A client needs a desire to grow and move from where they currently see themselves, to where they really want to be.
The ability to be coached. The client must have enough time, resources and energy available in order for the coaching process to work for them.

What do I look for in a coach?

The right coach brings our your best. The coach must be able to help you to accomplish the goals you want. You must feel motivated to be able to take the steps you need to grow and you want a coach is always a step ahead of you to keep you moving.

How much does it cost to work with a coach?

Coaching for clients ranges from $150 to $500 per month for a weekly coaching call. Clients may choose to be coached by telephone or by e. mail. The fees are determined according to time and method. I believe that everyone benefits from having their own coach and am willing to work with you to make sure fees don't get in the way of your own success.

How do I get started?

If you feel this is that this partnership is something you are ready to explore, call and let's talk. Coaching is not something I sell, it is something you buy because you want it.

Where Do I Start?

Most coaches begin with a client meeting to get to know one another. The coach needs to hear about your goals, needs and issues. You need to get comfortable with the coach. During this meeting the parties design a list of goals and a game plan to reach them. Prior to this meeting, the client will receive a welcome package that includes checklists and assessment materials to make the most of the first meeting. Together we design the best way we can work together as a team to accomplish the goals.
